Sometimes, I am not sure if being confident is a good thing.
Confidence means you know you are better than others, you know you are superior, you know you will do well.
Or at least you tend to believe and have faith in yourself.
Hence, the expectations.
However,
with high expectations, the disappointment you need to endure after you fall hard on your face,
is just…..
unbearable.

I have been playing the “corporate lady” for the past 3 days, leaving the house with nothing but my business suit.

* thinking of the business clothes that I could wear IF AND ONLY IF i get my internship. miracle, pls happen.wtf*

Hair nicely pulled to a ponytail,with fringe clipped up.

After 3 days of going through all the Interview/Group Assessment/Info Session with EY and Deloitte, my whole “internship application and assessment” process has FINALLY come to an end.
All I need to do is wait for their call, hopefully EY by tomorrow and Deloitte by Monday.
With my fingers crossed,may I add.
I would be HEAPS CUT if i failed to get into any of these, after the whole tedious,nerves-wrecking recruitment process I have gone through, the time and effort I have put in.
Not sure about the probability in Deloitte, but I know the chance of securing a place with EY is 50%.
I should REALLY stop analysing, thinking or worrying about the outcome,as what is done is done.
Should probably study hardcore for 2 of my papers on MONDAY and prepare myself for rejection call.WTF.

Sick of all the research, preparation for my 40 minutes Partner Interview this arvo, I resort to blogging.
Just to ease my mind a little,which clearly isn’t really helpful.
I have thousands gazillions of butterflies in my stomach, my heart is up to my mouth ( ok, this might has a lil too much exaggeration in it) but you get me.
My first ever proper interview in my entire 19 years,8 months,26 days of my life.
I know talking is one of my strengths wtf, but I am definitely not made for public speaking.
Despite people telling me how easy audit interviews are, my nervousness doesn’t seem to ease,not even an inch.

I think I should stop typing crap which barely make any sense at all.

I hate the weather, like seriously.
Its wet and cold.
Cold as in ICY FREEZING COLD!

The next 2 days is gonna be beyond hectic.
Firstly, I need to head to Jack’s place to finalise our Wealth Assignment, then come back to prepare Accounting and my hectic interview on Tuesday.
Monday is another hectic day @ uni.
9am – 6pm.
So not looking forward to it.

Ps: I do realise I used heaps of ” hectic”.Brain block.

Needed to rant before I hit the sack.WTF.

I guess NOT.
Although August is coming to an end, the cold,however is not taming down.
Instead, the wind in the past few days has been rather merciless, hence the EXTREMELY cold weather.
Thanks to mother nature’s wrath, I am on the verge of falling sick.=’(
To be honest, I wouldn’t really mind being sick when I have nothing to do.
I know that statement makes me look like a freak but yeh, I really don’t mind cos its the fastest way to lose weight.wtf
However, this is DEFINITELY NOT the best time to fall sick, with an interview coming up this week, 2 mid sessions and an assignment due next week.
With accounting being so tough, I can’t afford to fall sick now.
Hopefully, Vitamin C is good enough to fight those viruses.
Winter.
Can be such pain in the ass sometimes.

There’s less than 24 hours before my interview/group assessment starts.
I can feel that my stomach is filled with countless butterflies as this is my very FIRST proper interview in my 19 years of life.
It might be easy peasy for those who are good at bullshitting,but definitely not me.
I know I give the impression that I am out-going and I am never afraid to speak out. However, this only applies to people I know,not some intimidating-looking-interviewer or observer.
Currently reading up about interview techniques and some current issues.
Somehow, I reckon if I don’t give a shit about this internship, I might actually perform better cos I wouldn’t feel pressured and ace the interview.
BooHoo…

For those who don’t know, interview process in Australia has a few stages.
Passing the first round doesn’t mean you secure your job, there are several ” obstacles” for you to overcome before you are actually employed.
Hence, it doesn’t matter if you are a HD student but shit in any other aspects.
Something really different from Malaysia, where the main emphasis is on the results; you got the marks, you get a place.
As far as I am concerned, Deloitte has 2 stages.
Fingers crossed that I will be able to pass both interviews. Fat chance though.
So many applicants, so few spots.

Oh well…
I should digress as the whole point of me blogging is to ease my mind a little.

Sorry for the lack of photos lately, yours truly hasn’t been camwhoring much.
Her camwhoring bug is probably hybernating as winter is still not over.
One more week to go till we bid winter goodbye and embrace spring.
or at least I hope.
( That’s the “official” season, as for the temperature, I have a positive feeling that its gonna be temperamental for the next couple of weeks till the end of the year)

A quick update about what I have been doing lately:

That’s pretty much it.
Fret not wtf ,I am finally gonna get out of my hole this Friday and attend Singapore Students Association (SSA) Dance Party.
SO.LOOKING.FORWARD.TO.IT. ;D
it has been a while since I was out.
My very much needed break, before I lock myself up and be a hermit, and start nerding 24/7 for my upcoming midsession.

I know most of you guys have finished the lastest book ( Breaking Dawn) of the Twilight saga.
Well, better late than never.
After hearing good comments about this book, I decided to spend some beneficial money wtf and bought this book.
It is AWESOME and I find myself reading on every possible free time I have now.
Can’t wait till I finish this book and proceed to the next one.;D

go out or fail.

that probably explains my current state of my social life.
it has been a while since i last partied.
it has been a while since i last caught up with my friends.
it has been a while since i last shopped.

and it has only been 3 weeks of uni,with the coming week being week 4.
week 4 indicates that i am done with a third of the semester.
time DOES race by without realising.

the title says it all.
its either i go out heaps and having a satisfying social life or flunk this semester.
between those 2,i would definitely endure the negativity of my social life WTF then to flunk this semester and fail life later in the future.
ever since uni started, i have been working quite a bit ( at least 10 hours a week).
2 days of uni + 2 days of work, which means i only have weekends left to catch up with my uni work.
trust me, despite having only 12 contact hours a week, the amount of readings needed to be done each week is unbelievable!
its approximately 70 pages for each subject,which i am pretty sure accounting has more than 70 pages each week.
and i am currently doing 4 subjects at the moment,you do the math.

its good to find out that i was only given ONE 4-hours-shift next week.
although there’s gonna be a significant drop in my paycheck value, i could finally have some time to myself and to do some serious catch up as i have a hectic week awaiting me on week 6.
one legal assignment due, accounting class test and finance mid session.
ALL 3 ON THE SAME DAY!
hence,there’s the need for a trade off between my income and studying time.wtf
* i think i am starting to incorporate some commerce terms into my daily conversation.wtf*

that probably explains why my blog is so lack of photos these days.
enough of my repetitive rants, i am off to continue my love affair with my accounting textbook.WTF.
